Friday, December 5
The official Tree Lighting Ceremony, presented by Nugget Casino Resort, starts at 6:30 PM. Enjoy complimentary hot chocolate from Living Stones Church and a festive Christmas sing-along with Copper Clover. 39 North Pole continues throughout the evening.
Saturday, December 6
Festivities run all day long, bringing even more small-town charm to the holiday season.

? Carson City: Silver & Snowflakes Festival of Lights
Date: December 5, 2025 — 4:30–7:30 PM
Carson City’s historic downtown glows with holiday spirit during the Silver & Snowflakes Festival of Lights. The event begins at 4:30 PM with pre-ceremony fun before the official Nevada State Tree Lighting at the Capitol Building kicks off at 5:30 PM.
Guests can sip hot cocoa or cider, enjoy horse-drawn sleigh rides, and take in the cozy atmosphere of Carson City’s beautifully lit streets. One of the festival’s most heartwarming traditions includes Carson City School District’s 5th graders performing classic Christmas carols on the Capitol steps—filling the evening with music that feels like pure holiday magic.
